CHENNAI: The makers of Vetrimaaran’s 'Viduthalai', on Monday announced that they wrapped up the Kodaikanal schedule, where they shot intense action sequence with Peter Hein. The film features actors Vijay Sethupathi and Soori in lead roles.
Making the announcement, the actor Vijay Sethupathi wrote on Instagram, "#VetriMaaran's #Viduthalai- Kodaikanal schedule is completed! Intense action scenes choreographed by @peterheinoffl @soorimuthuchamy #ilaiyaraaja @elredkumar @udhay_stalin @rsinfotainment @redgiantmovies_ @peterheinoffl @mani.rsinfo #VelrajR @donechannel1 @ctcmediaboy." (sic)
Earlier, the unit filmed a schedule under challenging conditions in Sirumalai. A train and railway bridge set worth Rs 10 crore was erected for the film. We had reported that the film's part 1 has been completed and post-production work is taking place in full swing.
Produced by RS Infotainment's Elred Kumar, the 'Viduthalai' franchise is being made on a whopping budget. Apart from the lead, 'Viduthalai' also features Bhavani Sre, Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Rajeev Menon, and Chethan. Music maestro Ilaiyaraaja is composing music, which features cinematography by Velraj. Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Films acquired the theatrical rights of the franchise.
