The makers of National award-winning director Vetrimaaran’s Viduthalai will release posters of part 1 and part 2 on Sunday on the occasion of director Vetrimaaran’s birthday . A source close to the film unit told DT Next, “Currently, the shooting of Viduthalai part 1 is complete and post-production work is taking placein full swing. Both parts of the Viduthalai franchise are produced at a whopping budget.” Adding to the statement, the source said that the team has erected a huge set of a railway bridge at a budget of Rs 10 cr. “The train compartments, as well as the bridge, were constructed exactly with the same materials used in the railways. Earlier, the art department headed by Jackie had erected a huge village set in Sirumalai,” added the source
Currently, the team is gearing up for the shooting a stunt sequence in Kodaikanal. “With Peter Hein choreographing the action sequence, a group of proficient stunt team from Bulgaria, who have already arrived in Tamil Nadu will be a part of this action block,” he added.
The star cast of Viduthalai includes Vijay Sethupathi, Soori, Bhavani Sre, Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Rajeev Menon, and Chethan among others. Maestro Ilaiyaraajai is composing music for Viduthalai, which features cinematography by Velraj. Udhayanidhi Stali, recently acquired the theatrical rights of Viduthalai franchise and an official announcement on the release date of the first part will be made soon.
