CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has released fresh dates announcing the schedule for the Group 2 and Group 2A main examinations.
The exams will be held on March 15, 2026, with Group 2A conducted in the morning and Group II in the afternoon.
Hall tickets will be issued on February 28, and candidates can download them using their One Time Registration (OTR) details. Information regarding hall tickets and results will be communicated to candidates through email and SMS.
The TNPSC on Sunday had cancelled the Group 2 and Group 2A mains across Tamil Nadu after widespread confusion at exam centres led to protests, road blockades, and disruption. Candidates alleged serious lapses, including last-minute venue changes, non-availability of question papers, and discrepancies in roll numbers, while officials blamed a technical glitch in hall ticket generation and said the issue is under examination. Group 2 and 2A posts include roles such as Assistant Inspector, Sub-Registrar Grade II, Assistant Section Officer, and Senior Revenue Inspector, with selections made through prelims, mains, and interviews.
