'Meeting leaders to get justice for my daughter's death'

CHENNAI: Parents of a Class 12 student, who died in Kallakurichi, have been meeting prominent party leaders and on Saturday, they met AIADMK leader Edappadi K Palaniswami and submitted a petition seeking justice for their daughter's death.

"We are meeting party leaders and petitioning for justice for the death of my daughter. We have also submitted a petition to AIADMK leader Edappadi K Palaniswami seeking justice for my daughter and he said legal action would be taken. Meeting all the leaders is for the sole reason of getting justice for my daughter's death. Both the post-mortem reports are contradictory. We have full trust in CB-CID. We have asked the government to accept our appeal,” the student's mother said to reporters.

Meanwhile, on August 31, five school staff, who were arrested in connection with the suspicious death of a Class 12 girl in Kallakurichi were ordered conditional bail and released, according to a report from Daily Thanthi.
