CHENNAI: Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar has given his assent to 12 out of 13 Bills passed by the TVK government during the first Assembly session.

Though the Private Universities Bill has been reserved for Presidential consideration, the governor gave his nod to 12 Assembly Bills, including MLA vehicles, VAT on Tasmac liquor, TNPSC recruitment for Urban Local Bodies, another related to amendments to the DTCP, besides the Tamil Nadu Investment Promotion Commission
