Yet another Rottweiler attack in Chennai, 12-year-old bitten on head, back

Two foreign breed dogs - Rottweiler and Boxer bit a boy who was playing on the street. The boy suffered with minor injury and immediately taken to a private hospital and given vaccination.

CHENNAI: In another incident, a 12-year-old boy mauled by two pet dogs in Korattur on Saturday. The Chennai Corporation official stated that the dogs will be kept for observation soon. It is noted that the dog owner failed to follow the guidelines issued by the local body, where the dogs were not muzzled.

The civic authorities are in search of the pet dogs and obtained permission from the Animal welfare board to isolate the dogs.

Following an incident of two pet dogs mauled a 5-year-old child at a corporation park in Thousand lights on May 5. The child underwent a plastic surgery. The number of dog bite cases continues to surge in the city.
