For those eager fans tracking updates online on the British royal family, including the announcement of the birth of Prince Harry and Meghan’s first child soon, here’s news: the Duke and Duchess of Sussex now have their very own Instagram account. Launching the exclusive account under @sussexroyal on Tuesday, it has already raked in more than 2,70,000 followers. The development comes after a report earlier this month that the Queen had granted the couple their own royal household based at Buckingham Palace. Until recently, the royal family-including the elder prince, William, the Duchess of Cambridge, and their three children-had been a single unit online, on the @KensingtonRoyal Instagram account.

Especially not that of a 12-year-old piggybacking his best friend-who is physically challenged-to school, and that too, for the past six years. Xu Bingyang and his classmate Zhang Ze from China are now an Internet sensation, thanks to a video of the duo that has been widely shared across social media platforms. While Bingyang says he doesn’t mind carrying Ze, suffering from a rare muscle condition that prevents him from moving or walking on his own, the latter shares they also study and play together. While the bonding has left many netizens teary-eyed, Bingyang also helps Ze with other tasks such as refilling his water bottle, fetching lunch and even taking him to the washroom.

Multi-faceted Madhur Jaffrey, at 85, yet again proves that age is just a number as she donned the role of a gangster granny for video rapper Mr. Cardamom. Masked in giant sunglasses and a white wig, she debuts in her new role in “Nani”, a rap song by Zohran Mamdani, who calls himself Mr. Cardamom. Written two years ago as a homage to Mamdani’s grandmother –who herself was then 85— the song video had Jaffrey even mouthing the lyrics at top speed, while staying on the beat. And she says to the bemusement of Internet fans that she was nervous doing so!
