Apparently Rajini agreed to do the film after a narration, but once he went through the bound script, he felt there were some holes in the plot. So he decided to get personally involved in the film’s screenplay. For one week, the actor would leave his house at 8am, catch up with some associates first, and then start his script meetings at 10am. He would sit at a hotel with the team of young assistant directors and suggest improvements to the plot until 2 pm, at which time he would returned home for lunch. 

Speculating about why Rajini is getting so involved with the, a trade analyst said that the actor can’t take any chances with either his film career or his political entry, so he’s ensuring that he has a hit formula on his hands.
