The latest is that the movie started rolling in Chennai on Saturday. Talking to DT Next, director Ezhil said, “We shot in an IT park on OMR. Parthiban plays the lead while Gautham Karthik plays another main character in the film. It will be an interesting combo.” Ezhil is known for his comedies, family entertainers and rural films. “This will be entirely different to all my previous films. The first thing I do after my film releases in theatres is to know the audience’s pulse. I did another film called Aayiram Jenmangal, an unreleased horror film. Likewise, this will be a different attempt. It is based on a novel and is a crime thriller. I am a huge fan of crime thrillers,” he explained.
Talking about the shooting schedule, he said, “We will be shooting on a 30-day schedule until December. We are planning to finish the film by January and release it in theatres. The film will have a mass appeal.” Usually, Ezhil’s films are known for their star ensemble. “But this film will have very limited characters in frame. Not because of lockdown. We were planning to begin shooting by March. Unfortunately, we couldn’t. The original script of the film has minimal characters,” he concluded.
