PM greets new European Council chief Charles Michel

Recalling his meeting with Michel in New York on the sidelines of UNGA earlier this year, the PM said: "India is committed to making progress on issues of mutual interest, including BTIA (Broad Based Trade and Investment Agreement), Connectivity Partnership and Climate Change."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday congratulated Charles Michel on assuming the office of the President of the European Council, over the phone.

The PM conveyed his best wishes for Michel's successful tenure. The Prime Minister expressed his confidence that India-EU partnership will be further strengthened under Michel's leadership.

Recalling his meeting with Michel in New York on the sidelines of UNGA earlier this year, the PM said: "India is committed to making progress on issues of mutual interest, including BTIA (Broad Based Trade and Investment Agreement), Connectivity Partnership and Climate Change."

Both the leaders agreed to hold the next India-EU Summit next year in Brussels.
