Pakistani journalist killed in bomb attack in Balochistan

A 35-year-old Pakistani journalist was killed in an attack claimed to have been carried out by the banned Balochistan Liberation Army in the country’s restive Balochistan province, media reports said on Monday

Shahid Zehri, who has been associated with Metro 1 News, wastravelling in a car in the town of Hub in the province when he was attacked onSunday, reportedly with a homemade grenade, Eidgah Station House Officer NadeemHaider was quoted as saying by Dawn News. The TV reporter suffered criticalinjuries, and another injured person was initially taken to Hub Civil Hospitaland subsequently shifted to the Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi, whereZehri was pronounced dead. The nature of the bomb could not be confirmedimmediately.
