Wrong person’s image goes viral as Hathras victim

Last month, the victim in the alleged sexual assault case from Hathras in UP passed away in a Delhi Hospital. Following her death, social media users began sharing an image which they claimed was of the deceased victim. Alt News found that this photo does not show the alleged Hathras victim. This was clarified in a Facebook post by the brother of the woman seen in the image. This photo is that of a woman who died due to medical negligence in Chandigarh in 2018.
