CHENNAI: A CCTV clip of a group of youngsters thrashing a man has gone viral. It was claimed that the video is from Bihar’s Samastipur and the victim is purported to be Mohd Mustaqeem. According to the viral claim, he was accused of stealing a bull, due to which the mob thrashed him to death. Alt News found that the said footage of a man lynched to death was in connection with a case of long-standing mutual enmity in Hisar, Haryana. This was falsely shared as a case of lynching of Muslim youth on charges of bull theft from Bihar’s Samastipur district.
