A politician recently claimed ‘Pakistan zindabad’ slogans were raised while welcoming AIUDF chief Maulana Badruddin Ajmal at Silchar airport, Assam. AIUDF will contest the 2021 Assam assembly election in alliance with Congress and Left Front. Alt News found reports claiming such slogans were raised by supporters of Ajmal are false. The crowd was chanting ‘Aziz Khan zindabad’. The claim raised by opposition party leaders is a recurring pattern of misinformation.
