“India has captured 60–70 km of the Kailash mountain range, peaks that were used by China to prevent Kailash Mansarovar pilgrimage,” reads a new viral message. It accompanies a photo of Indian army soldiers raising the tricolour flag atop a mountain. Alt News found the picture was from 2020 Republic Day celebrations at the LoC. It was morphed and shared with the false claim that it shows the army raising the national flag at Kailash mountain.
