This week, a 65-year-old man was attacked by Shiv Sena activists for allegedly sharing a cartoon mocking Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray . A video of the incident went viral. The video claimed that these were Shiv Sena workers beating a merchant navy man named Madan Sharma. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also tweeted and condemned the attack. Sharma’s son confirmed later that his father joined the merchant navy after serving the Indian Navy for 16 years.
