DeTect: Fake news prompts vandals to storm Madhya Pradesh school

Last week, members of right-wing groups vandalized a school in Madhya Pradesh claiming it “converted” Hindu students to Christianity.

A report said the groups were inspired by a video that alleged the same. The report added that eight children participated in Holy Communion.

It’s a sacrament given only to Christians and took place in the presence of the children’s parents.

None of the kids who participated in the sacrament attended the school that was vandalized.
