A video going viral claims in the light of the epidemic, China is allowing Muslims to read the Quran which was previously banned. “The Holy Quran was banned in China. Now the ban has been lifted. Chinese Muslims are allowed to read it. Look at the joy,” reads the viral text shared with the video. Alt News broke the video into key-frames using digital verification tool InVid. It found that an article published in March 2013 by a site called ‘Gospel Prime’, features this video depicting the moment when people saw the Bible for the first time. So, the video is unrelated to the recent outbreak.
