Accidental fire falsely linked to farmer protest

A TikTok video of a cell tower on fire has been viral on social media for the past few days.

The video says, “Farmers vandalised 1,500 Jio cell towers in Punjab last week, venting anger against Mukesh Ambani-owned Reliance which they believe will benefit from the farm laws.” Alt News performed a reverse image search and found a report from June 2017. It says the incident had occurred in Dehradun.
