TIRUCHY: A youngster was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a parked car in Thanjavur on Saturday. Police said that Arunkumar (36), a resident from Thoppupatti in Madurai, working as a manager in a private firm in Kumbakonam, arrived in Thanjavur and parked his car at the bus stand. He went to Coimbatore and returned on Friday night. When he tried to open his car, he was shocked to see a decomposed body of a man with blood oozing from his nose. Soon he informed the police, who rushed to the spot and sent the body to Thanjavur Medical college. The deceased was identified as Manikandan (27) from Pappanadu in Thanjavur.

Police said that Manikandan arrived at the bus stand and found the car unlocked. He entered it to take rest, but it had locked from inside. He could not get out and suffocated to death. “The blood through the nose is one of the symptoms of suffocation,” said the police, who have registered a case of suspicious death.
