TIRUCHY: A woman run over by a college bus died on the spot while her husband sustained severe injuries in Thanjavur on Tuesday. It is said, Kamalanathan (65), a resident of Nadukaviri in Thanjavur along with his wife Jayalakshmi (59) went to the Thanjavur Medical College hospital to get medicine. When they were proceeding on the Big Temple overbridge, a private college bus that was coming in the opposite direction hit the two-wheeler in which the couple were travelling. They were tossed off their bike and the bus ran over Jayalakshmi killing her on the spot.

Kamalanathan escaped with injuries.
