VIT PG students get internships through online interviews

The Vellore-based VIT university, which has started its student placement drive, has resorted to online tests and interviews to enable students get postings.

While Intel has offered internships to 116 MTech students with a monthly stipend of Rs 40,000, Qualcomm selected five on a monthly stipend of Rs 45,000.

The university is readying students for placement as 20 companies have expressed willingness to participate, while many others are expected once the lockdown is lifted. The selected internees will join their respective companies in the first week of August for a 10-month internship. BTech placements are also expected to start in the third week of July.
