UKG girl dies during Xmas celebration in Manamadurai

MADURAI: Christmas celebrations at a school in Manamadurai of Sivaganga ended in tragedy as a kindergartner fainted and died mid-performance on Saturday.

Theja Sree of Sethupathi Nagar, a UKG student, was dressed as an angel and was in the middle of the Christmas show performance with fellow students at the school.

She fainted and became unconscious during the performance, triggering panic. She was rushed to the Manamadurai Government Hospital, where the doctor declared her dead.

The exact cause of her death is unknown, and her body was taken for post-mortem examination to the Sivaganga Government Medical College Hospital. The Manamadurai police have filed a case.
