TTV Dhinakaran says 10% bonus to govt employees unacceptable

CHENNAI: AMMK leader TTV Dhinakaran on Saturday criticised the Tamil Nadu government over the announcement of 10 percent Deepavali bonus to government employees and said, “It was unacceptable.”

“Citing Covid pandemic, the DMK government has taken such a decision this year too. It is condemnable, ” he said.

When the government has funds to install “Pen memorial” (memorial for former CM M Karunanidhi) in the sea, how can it be justified to cut the bonus for the government employees?, he wondered.

On the brutal murder of college student Sathya Priya, who was killed after bring pushed in front of a moving train a couple of days ago, dhinakaran said it was shocking incident. It also was worrying to think about the future of the generation.

The parents should not forget that they should inculcate how to respect the emotion and feeling of women, he further said.
