TNPSC scam: Bail pleas of 9 dismissed

The Madras High Court has dismissed nine bail petitions filed by the accused of Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) recruitment scam on Monday.

The bail petitions were filed by six Group-IV scam accused, Rajasekar, Sivaraj, Vignesh, Thiruvel Murugan, Nithish Kumar, Manikkam and three Group-2A accused , Arun Balaji, Vadivu and Jayarani. The government pleader opposing the petitions prayed the court to dismiss the case since the investigation was at a crucial stage. Recording the submissions, Justice AD Jagadish Chandra, before whom the pleas came up, dismissed the bail petitions. The accused moved the HC after their bail petitions were dismissed by trial courts.
