CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has issued a notification inviting applications to fill 3,678 vacancies under Group IV services across various state government departments.

The written examination is scheduled to be held on July 12, and the application window will remain open until May 24.

According to Gopala Sundara Raj, Controller of Examinations, the recruitment includes positions such as Village Administrative Officer, Junior Assistant, Typist, and Steno-Typist, excluding Forest Guard roles. “This marks the first time since 2018 that Group IV notifications have been issued in consecutive years — 2024 and 2025. In the past five financial years, 17,799 vacancies have been filled through this examination, averaging 3,560 appointments annually,” he added. “The 2025 notification exceeds this average, reflecting the government’s commitment to expediting public sector recruitment. The number of vacancies may increase before the counselling phase, subject to additional requisitions from departments.”

Aspirants can apply through the TNPSC website (https://www.tnpsc.gov.in). The Commission urged aspirants to utilise this opportunity and prepare diligently for the competitive examination.
