TNPSC Group 2, 2A prelims result out; main exam mode changed

CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has announced the results of the preliminary examination for the Combined Civil Services Examination–II (Group II and IIA Services).

The exam, held on September 28, was conducted for recruitment to various posts, including Sub-Registrar and Forestor under Group II and clerical roles under Group IIA. Out of 5,53,634 registered candidates, 4,20,217 appeared for the test.

The commission has now published the provisional list of candidates selected for the main exam. The list of register numbers is available on the official TNPSC website.

A significant change due to administrative reasons has been announced regarding the main examination. While initially planned as a Computer Based Test (CBT), Paper-II (General Studies, General Mental Ability and Aptitude) for Group IIA Services will now be conducted in the traditional OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) sheet format.
