TNEA: Provisional allocation for 3rd round of counselling to be out

The official said that on the same day (October 29), the fourth and final round of counselling for students who secured ranks between 94,621 and 1,56,278 will begin.

CHENNAI: The provisional allotments of the third round of counseling for students seeking engineering seats in the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA-2022) will be released on Tuesday.

A senior official from the Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE) told DT Next on Monday that the last date for filing choices was over for the students, who participated in the third and penultimate round of counselling.

"Accordingly, the provisional list will be released,” he said adding that students who still want to some changes in their choice, were given time till October 26.

Stating that at present more than 30,000 students, who participated in the first and second rounds of counselling, have joined the colleges by paying their fees, the official said "The exact figure with regard to the total number of students, who participated in the third round, will be known only on October 29".

The official said that on the same day (October 29), the fourth and final round of counselling for students who secured ranks between 94,621 and 1,56,278 will begin.

He added that the provisional allotment will be released for these candidates on the next day (November 2).

After completion of the final round of engineering counselling, colleges for the first year will be opened tentatively during the first week of November, he concluded.
