CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu government on Wednesday issued a Government order (GO) for transfer of 9 IPS officers in the State.

Accordingly, K Shankar IPS has been appointed as ADGP (Law and Order) in place of P Thamaraikannan, who retired from service. Commando Force DGP HM Jayaram has been posted as Additional DGP, Armed Forces.

G Venkataraman, who has been acting as Head Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), will additionally look after the Administrative Division.

DGP C Sylendra Babu will additionally hold the post of Director General of Police of Tamil Nadu Police Academy. A 2018 batch IPS officer, G Chandeesh who was serving as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in Thoothukudi rural is promoted as Superintendent of Police (SP0 and posted as DCP (Deputy Commissioner of Police), L&O (north), Coimbatore City.

Coimbatore Police Deputy Commissioner N Mathivanan has been transferred and posted as DCP, Traffic, Coimbatore city.

SP, Coastal Security Group (CSG) S Senthilkumar has been transferred and posted as SP, TN Commando Force, replacing G Ramar, who is posted as SP, CSG.
