TN DPH assigns nodal officers for every district to carry out monsoon preparedness activities

A list was communicated for effective implementation of all the health programmes and schemes including communicable disease control in their allotted districts to the officers.

CHENNAI: The Director of Public Health and Preventive Medicine has assigned nodal officers for all districts to handle the health schemes and programmes related to monsoon preparedness across the State.

The order was issued by the Directorate of Public Health and Preventive Medicine for the monitoring of all the health schemes including Communicable Diseases for the districts allocated to the monitoring officers.

A list was communicated for effective implementation of all the health programmes and schemes including communicable disease control in their allotted districts to the officers.

The officers have been directed to visit the districts periodically for inspection and review the healthcare schemes regularly. The officers are also requested to submit their inspection reports and priority issues to the Director of Public Health and Preventive Medicine after their visits in the districts allotted.

"The nodal officers will handle all the programmes in their allocated districts, including monsoon related activities and dengue control, said Dr T S Selvavinayagam.
