Tirumala to see TN folk art forms

The popular folk art forms and dances of tribals in Tamil Nadu will be showcased at the Srivari Brahmotsavam on the mada street parades.

Shankara Narayanan, the Culture Officer of the Tamil Nadu government, said a 37-member troupe including two women would stage five 

art formats at the brahmotsavam.

The art forms were Karagaattan, Kali Attam, Thappata Attam, Pettari Attam and Neyyandi Melam where dancers dressed in bright colours and folk ornaments regaled the crowds with songs and skits in their local lingos.
