Tamil Nadu: 14-year-old Tiruchy boy killed in quarrel

TIRUCHY: A 14-year-old boy was murdered in Tiruchy after a quarrel erupted while playing with others. The police secured a 15-year-old boy and sent him to the government observation home on Friday.

It is said that S Selvam (14), a Class 8 student from Karattampatti Government School in Thuraiyur was playing volleyball along with his friends on Thursday evening.

An argument erupted between Selvam and a 15 -year-old boy while playing and this snowballed into an assault. Selvam was hit with a hard substance on his head and soon, he started vomiting, but returned home.

On Friday, when he woke up, he collapsed and was rushed to Thuraiyur GH where the doctors declared him dead. On information, the Pulivalam police registered a case.
