Three school boys drown while bathing in pond near home in Sulur

On receiving information, the police and fire service personnel rushed to the spot and retrieved the bodies of the boys and sent it for post-mortem to Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital (CMCH).

COIMBATORE: Three boys drowned while bathing in a pond in Coimbatore on Friday. Police said, B Jaswanth (8), A Akilan (10) and G Sanjeev (7), all friends and hailing from Sulur had gone out to ‘Chinnakulam’ after coming from school in the evening. The three boys, who do not know swimming, had ventured into a deeper area and drowned in the water body. Their parents had gone in search and were shocked to find out their children had drowned to death. On receiving information, the police and fire service personnel rushed to the spot and retrieved the bodies of the boys and sent it for post-mortem to Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital (CMCH). The Sulur police have registered a case and further inquiries are on.
