COIMBATORE: Former Governor and BJP leader Tamilisai Soundararajan on Friday said the BJP-AIADMK alliance is intact in Tamil Nadu.

Addressing the media at Coimbatore airport, the BJP leader said that the NDA would emerge victorious in the 2026 Assembly polls.

Referring to TVK leader Vijay’s ‘evil force’ remark on DMK, the BJP leader said there is no difference of opinion on his take.

“The DMK government is trying to suppress the voice of the people in the Tiruparankundram issue. The people would give a fitting response to DMK in the 2026 Assembly polls for repeatedly hurting the sentiments of Hindus,” she said.

In the ongoing controversy over renaming the rural job guarantee scheme, Soundararajan alleged that Tamil Nadu was among the states where large-scale corruption was reported under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme. She also questioned whether the DMK had named any institution after Gandhi.
