Tamil Nadu's Pranav Venkatesh becomes 75th GM of India

CHENNAI: 16-year-old Pranav Venkatesh from Tamil Nadu has been selected as the 75th Grand Master of India. He is the champion of 2014 under-9 National Inter-School Chess Tournament.

He won the title of National Champion in the under-9 competition.

Pranav Venkatesh is the 27th player from Tamil Nadu to get the Grandmaster status.
