Tamil Nadu has recorded 1,652 new Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours, according to the health department of the state. The overall count has increased to 7,61,568 in the state.
About 2,314 persons have recovered and discharged from the various hospitals in the state on Tuesday. The total number of recovered patients have increased to 7,34,970 in the state.
The state saw 18 Covid-19 fatalities, as the overall death toll increased to 11,513.
Chennai city has detected 492 new cases in the past 24 hours, about 624 persons have discharged in the past 24 hours. The total number of infected people in Chennai has increased to 2,09,659.
