Tamil Nadu government assures all due respect for ex-CM Jayalalithaa

CHENNAI: The TVK-led government assured the AIADMK in the Assembly that it would always give due importance to former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.

During Zero Hour, the issue was raised by AIADMK member CVe Shanmugam, who demanded proper maintenance of the statue of Jayalalithaa located at the Tamil Nadu State Council for Higher Education on Kamarajar Salai.

Replying to him, Higher Education Minister P Viswanathan said the demand was an important one and assured that the government would always accord due importance to former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa.
