CHENNAI: The Election Commission of India (ECI) is considering conducting by-elections to five Assembly constituencies that fell vacant following the resignations of their respective legislators.
Officials said the poll panel is examining the vacancies and is likely to take a decision on the election schedule after reviewing administrative and logistical requirements.
