Tamil Nadu Cabinet meeting to be held on May 2

The government has proposed to hold the next edition of two-day GIM from January 10, 2024.

CHENNAI: The State Cabinet is all set to meet under the chairmanship of Chief Minister MK Stalin at the Secretariat here on May 2. The meeting is expected to discuss the implementation of the announcements made in the just concluded Budget session of the State Assembly.

The Cabinet, it has been reliably learnt, would also discuss the foreign tour of the top brass in the government. Reliable government sources disclosed that a high-level delegation, which could also comprise the Chief Minister, might visit the United Kingdom sometime next month, understandably, to woo investors for the Global Investor's Meet.

The government has proposed to hold the next edition of two-day GIM from January 10, 2024.

The agenda of the cabinet could also include the preliminary works of the scheme to distribute Rs 1,000 each dole to one crore homemakers.

The scheme is set for inauguration on September 17.
