Tallest figure in Indian politics: Stalin condoles Yadav’s death

Yadav, 82, the three-time chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, passed away at the Medanta hospital in Gurugram on Monday afte prolonged illness.

CHENNAI: Chief Minister MK Stalin on Monday condoled the death of Samajwadi Party founder and former defence minister Mulayam Singh Yadav.

Yadav, 82, the three-time chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, passed away at the Medanta hospital in Gurugram on Monday afte prolonged illness.

"Saddened by the demise of former CM of UP and senior leader of @samajwadiparty Thiru. Mulayam Singh. One of the tallest figures in Indian Politics who stood for reservation for the OBC, Thiru Mulayam Singh was deeply committed to secular ideals. His death is an irreparable loss,” Stalin tweeted.

"I convey my heartfelt condolences to my brother @yadavakhilesh & his grieving family, and the cadre of @samajwadiparty On behalf of DMK, Party Treasurer and DMK Parliamentary Party leader Thiru T.R. Baalu will pay last respects to Thiru. Mulayam Singh avl,”

he added.

''The body of netaji is being taken to Saifai. On October 11, he will be cremated at around 3 pm,” the Samajwadi Party said.
