COIMBATORE: After distributing flood-relief items to families sheltered in camps, AIADMK interim general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami on Monday accused the DMK of betraying government employees “as he did not deliver any useful announcement in the JACTO-GEO conference”.

Slamming the State government for failing to implement the scheme to divert surplus water from Mettur to fill up 100 dry tanks in Sarabanga river basin, which was launched by AIADMK at a cost of Rs 562 crore, Palaniswami said that not even 10 tanks were filled now.

He also quipped that OPS-loyalist Bangalore Pugazhendi should not be taken seriously as the latter had lost by securing votes lesser than NOTA by contesting the polls in Hosur constituency.
