CHENNAI: Chief Minister M K Stalin on Monday adviced the ministers to use words carefully in public places and asked them to be cautious while interacting with public.

The eighth cabinet meeting was held at Secretariat in the morning and in the meeting that went for 30 minutes, the Chief Minister issued couple of key directions for Ministers.

"Recently, couple of Ministers, including Higher Education Minister K Ponmudy and Revenue Minister KKSSR Ramachandran, were involved in loose talks and the speeches went viral in social media leading to criticism by opposition parties. The Chief Minister had advised the ministers to be extra cautious while delivering speeches in public meetings and while interacting with the public," said sources in Secretariat.

Sources also said that as the DMK General Council meeting is likely to be held on the second week of October the Assembly session will likely be postponed after Deepavali and in the session the Bill to ban online rummy is likely to be passed along with the tabling of reports of Arumugasamy commission and Aruna Jagadeesan commission.
