CHENNAI: Southern Railway has announced a special unreserved MEMU service between Chennai Egmore station and Tirunelveli to handle the demand.

A one-time MEMU special will leave Egmore at 11.50 pm on April 25 and reach Tirunelveli at 10.45 am the next day. In the return direction, it will leave Tirunelveli at 1.20 pm on April 26 and arrive at Tambaram at 11.45 pm the same day.

The unreserved MEMU will run via Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Villupuram, Tiruchy, Madurai and Kovilpatti, among other stations.
