CHENNAI: East Coast Railway has notified the temporary augmentation of the following Special trains.
1. Train No 08311 Sambalpur - Erode Special will be augmented with one AC three tier coach and one sleeper class coach from Sambalpur from January 7 to January 28, 2026.
2. Train No 08312 Erode- Sambalpur special will be augmented with one AC three tier coach and one sleeper class coach from Erode from January 9 to January 30, 2026.
The coach composition for the above two special trains will be 1 AC two tier coach, 4 AC three tier coaches, 10 sleeper class coaches, 4 general second class coaches & 2 second class coaches (disabled-friendly).
3. Train No 08581 Visakhapatnam - SMVT Bengaluru special via Katpadi and Jolarpettai will be augmented with one AC three tier economy coach from Visakhapatnam from January 4 to January 25, 2026.
4. Train No 08582 SMVT Bengaluru - Visakhapatnam special via Jolarpettai and Katpadi will be augmented with one AC three tier economy coach from SMVT Bengaluru from January 4 to January 26, 2026.
The coach composition for the above two special trains will be 2 AC two tier coaches, 3 AC three tier coaches, 3 AC three tier economy coaches, 8 sleeper class coaches, 4 general second class coaches, 1 second class coach (disabled-friendly) & 1 luggage cum brake van.
