Southern Railway announces special trains and temporary augmentation of express services

Few express trains would be temporarily augmented with extra coaches operated between TN and Rajasthan.

CHENNAI: Special trains will be operated between Villupuram and Tiruvannamalai for Pournami Girivalam at Tiruvannamalai, said a press release issued by Southern Railway. Also, a few express trains would be temporarily augmented with extra coaches operated between TN and Rajasthan.

Train 06130 Villupuram – Tiruvannamalai unreserved special will leave Villupuram at 10.10 am on February 1 (Sunday) and reach Tiruvannamalai at 11.45 am, the same day (one service).

In the return direction, Train 06129 Tiruvannamalai – Villupuram unreserved special will leave Tiruvannamalai at 12.40 pm on February 1 and reach Villupuram at 02.15 pm, the same day (one service). Coach composition will be of an eight-car MEMU.

Train 22497/22498 Shri Ganganagar (Rajasthan) – Tiruchy – Shri Ganganagar Humsafar Express will be temporarily augmented with one AC three-tier coach from Shri Ganganagar from February 2-23 (Mondays), and from Tiruchy from February 6-27 (on Fridays). The revised composition will be 17 AC three-tier coaches, two luggage-cum-brake vans and one pantry car.

Train 20481/20482 Jodhpur – Tiruchy – Jodhpur Humsafar Express will be temporarily augmented with one sleeper class coach from Jodhpur from February 4-25 (Wednesdays), and from Tiruchy from February 7-28 (Saturdays). The revised composition will be 16 AC three-tier coaches, two sleeper class coaches, two luggage-cum-brake vans and one pantry car.
