CHENNAI: The Income Tax (I-T) department said Senthilbalaji's brother Ashok Kumar has not responded to the two summons issued to him.

The central agency claimed that the first summon was issued on June 7 and the second one on June 19 to which the minister's brother failed to respond.

Sources claim that counsels of Ashok Kumar are in discussion with the Income Tax department seeking more time to provide an explanation.

The summons were issued after the raids conducted at 40 premises related to Ashok Kumar in May.
