SC, tribal students invited to apply for PhD scholarship before Jan 31

These incentives will be extended to PhD students who belong to Scheduled Castes (SCs), Tribal and Christian Adi Dravidar communities

CHENNAI: The Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare department has invited full-time doctoral degree candidates from the academic year 2025-26 to apply for financial incentives from the department. Both fresh and renewal candidates can apply on https://adwphdscholarship.in/ till 5.45 pm on January 31.

These incentives will be extended to PhD students who belong to Scheduled Castes (SCs), Tribal and Christian Adi Dravidar communities. Physical application can be submitted at the ADW and Tribal Welfare department office in the Ezhilagam campus in Chennai.

A former candidate recounted their struggles in applying and said they hoped the department would rectify and clarify issues while applicants walk in for the scholarship. Meanwhile, department officials have assured that the process has been eased to invite more applications.
