Safeguard OBC quota policy in letter and spirit, Stalin urges PM

DMK president M K Stalin on Wednesday condemned the BJP-led Centre for denying rightful quota of UG and PG medical seats for NEET to OBCs.

Stalin also urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to safeguard the reservation policy in letter and spirit as per the Constitution. Condemning the reported denial of medical seats under reservation to OBCs during the last three years, Stalin said, “I condemn this Social Injustice! The Union Govt has deprived OBC students of their rightful quota for #NEET in UG&PG courses (Medical & Dental). They’ve lost 11,000 seats in 3 years!” Taking to social media to draw the Centre’s attention to the issue, Stalin tweeted, “Urge @PMOIndia to safeguard the reservation policy, in letter & in spirit as per the constitution.” The DMK has been demanding the scrapping of NEET for medical admission.
