“So far, I (Murugan) have not received any information about Alagiri joining the party and if he wishes we will welcome him. BJP is open to all and many new persons from various parties are joining the BJP,” said Murugan, while addressing reporters in Chennai.

Recently, Alagiri, son of former chief minister M Karunanidhi and former DMK strongman from Madurai, announced that he will make important political decisions on November 20. There were rumours that Alagiri might join the BJP, but Murugan said that so far there was no communication in this regard.

Meanwhile, Alagiri, while replying to media, said that he had not taken any decision on his political stand. “I will discuss with my supporters and then will take a decision on my political stand,” added Alagiri.
