CHENNAI: The Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has forecast rain in 16 districts of Tamil Nadu till 1 pm today, with light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder at a few places.
According to the weather bulletin, light to moderate rain with isolated thunderstorms is likely in Chengalpattu, Cuddalore, Mayiladuthurai and Villupuram districts.
Light to moderate rain may occur in Chennai, Kancheepuram, Nagapattinam, Thanjavur, Tiruvallur and Tiruvarur districts.
Light rain is expected in Ariyalur, Tiruvannamalai, Ranipet, Kanniyakumari, Tiruchirappalli and Pudukkottai districts.
Earlier, the weather department had stated that light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning was likely at a few places across Tamil Nadu and in Puducherry and Karaikal today.
